Rio Grande Open Accounts
If you are rated 1 or 2 with the Jewelers Board
of Trade (JBT) or are rated low-risk with any of
our credit reporting agencies, we can open an
account for you upon receipt of your signed
credit application (this can be faxed). If you
are not rated as described above, ask for our
Credit Policy Information and Application
Allow approximately two weeks for processing.

American Express. Customer/cardholder
address and related information are verified
with your issuing bank before your order
is shipped. Some restrictions may apply.
We accept PayPal payments for orders
placed on the web.
Prepaid Orders
Certified funds such as money orders or cashier’s
checks are recommended. To expedite service,
use a bank wire transfer. Please allow for price
fluctuations and include shipping costs. If the
quoted shipping cost is more than the actual
cost, we will credit your account or issue a
refund, whichever you request. If you send a
check with your order, the check must include
your name, address and daytime phone number.
This information will be verified with your bank.
Export funds are accepted in U.S. dollars only.

Truck Freight
Your flat shipping rate is based on order weight
and the speed of delivery you’ve chosen.
USPS and UPS are primary shippers.
Other options are available based on
specific needs.
Truck freight, air freight and international air
and ocean freight order fees are flat rate based
on weight. Truck freight pricing is calculated by
our transportation specialists, usually requiring
a call back.
Split shipments may arrive a few days apart.
Most orders placed by 5 p.m.
Mountain Time are shipped the
same day they are received
(excluding international shipments).
We do our very best to offer you the most
competitive prices and best selection on all our
products. We do our very best to hold
prices, but because our catalog is in use for a year,
prices may vary due to charges that are out of our
control, including currency exchange rates, paper
and paper pulp prices, fuel surcharges, freight
charges, raw materials fluctuations, labor cost and
customs duties. Expect some pricing variation
depending on conditions at the time you order.
All prices are net and are current at press time
(December, 2013).
All prices may change without notice; please call
to verify current prices and package quantities.
Regular orders are billed at the item prices current
on the day orders are received. Special orders and
backorders are billed at the price current on the day
the items are shipped.
Our pricing is structured to help you save
when you buy in larger quantities, significantly
reducing your cost per item. Ask about additional
price breaks when placing your order.
All returns and repairs must be accompanied by
their invoice numbers or dates of purchase and
your customer number. Returns will be credited
or refunded by the same method of payment used
for the purchase (except where noted below*).
To return an item:
1. Pack the item in a sturdy carton and seal with
strong tape.
2. Include the top portion of the invoice
with your return and mail them to:

3. For your protection, ship all returns
prepaid and insured. Call for a prepaid
authorized return service (ARS) label
(U.S. customers only).
4. If you need a replacement before the return
is received, call us at 800.545.6566. Your
replacement and your return may cross
in the mail.
We reserve the right to refuse any merchandise
returned after the 30-day warranty period
or to charge additional restocking fees on
such merchandise.
*Orders Paid with PayPal
Returns postmarked within 30 days of the invoice
date will post to your PayPal account. After 30
days, you will receive your refund as credit on your
Rio Grande account.
*Milled Materials and Casting Grain Returns
Returns postmarked within 10 days of the
invoice date are accepted for full refund or Rio
Grande credit based on the invoice price. Returns
postmarked more than 10 days after the invoice
date will be subject to a 15% restocking fee and
are accepted for Rio Grande credit only.
*Findings and Jewelry Returns
Returns postmarked within 30 days of the
invoice date are accepted for full refund or Rio
Grande credit based on the invoice price. Returns
postmarked more than 30 days after the invoice
date will be subject to a 10% restocking fee and
are accepted for Rio Grande credit only.
*Incomplete Packages
Items sold in quantity packages must be returned
Most of our tools and equipment come with a
one-year warranty. To return an item for evaluation
or repair, package it as you would a return (see
above), but to “Attention: Repair Department,” and
send it prepaid and insured. Your invoice number
is vital; it serves as your warranty. Allow 3–6 weeks
after we have received the item for repair.
Separate all metals by type and purity. Insure your
package and send it “ATTN: Returns Department”.
We accept platinum, palladium, gold, gold-filled,
fired PMC®, silver-filled and silver scrap. See our
